High Courts located in various states have delivered numerous judgments which are binding on all the subordinate courts in their respective states/jurisdictions. Unlike the judgments of Supreme Court which rules all the courts in India. The judgments delivered by apex court are precedents which are followed by the all the courts. Some of these judgments are milestone in the history of Indian judiciary.
There are instances where High Court's have delivered conflicting judgments. In such cases decision of either state’s HC is followed or Supreme Court’s view is considered by the lower courts.
